The doctors had tried Ryan on a new medicine yesterday morning at 9am. The medicine was supposed to control his anger, but it instead made him a complete zombie. They had made the decision to not continue this medicine because it made Ryan's therapy not as productive. The day in total had been "so-so" as Mom described it. Usually, one would not think of a so-so day as being a blessing, but in Ryan's circumstance - it is! They days have gone from extremely long, stressful, and difficult to so-so ... this is definitely an improvement, and we are taking ALL of the improvements big and small and thanking the Lord for each one!! ...it's what keeps us going and our faith strong.
Ryan received a cast on his right arm, this will help to pull and stretch the tight tendons and ligaments. Also in therapy, yesterday he was allowed to visit the kitchen and if you knew Ryan he LOVED the kitchen ... not the actual cooking or cleaning aspect, but Ryan was always in the kitchen eating, no matter what time of day it was! :) Yesterday, with assistance of course, Ryan was allowed to make pizza rolls!! He read the directions and helped place them onto the tray and into the oven! He's becoming so domesticated! :) ...next, maybe he will learn how to do laundry - who knows?!?!? We HAVE been praying for Ryan to be healed better than he was before, so maybe God will bless us with a Ryan that will pick up after himself!! ---- all a complete joke, of course. :)
Please continue to pray specifically for Ryan's aggression, his speaking, and his scar tissue in the throat. We appreciate the prayers more than you will ever know. This miracle is one to talk about it.
