10:30 am: Ryan had a very long night with many machines beeping and going off for different reasons. Although, this morning his vitals are regulated and he has remained steady. Our amazing nurse, Crystal, truly has Ryan's best interest at hand. She uses her medical knowledge, as well as her common sense, and is not afraid to make decisions. With the help of the respiratory technician, they have decided to take Ryan on the ventilator machine completely. They came to this conclusion because he was out-breathing the machine last night. That means RYAN IS COMPLETELY BREATHING ON HIS OWN!!! Thank you Lord for blessing Ryan's strong and healthy lungs, and thank you for giving us amazing nurses, doctors, and technicians to help aid in the amazing miracle that is to come. Now that Ryan is breathing on his own, Crystal, our nurse, made the decision to bring in a Neurological Chair. This chair allows Ryan to get out of the bed (with hoist from the nurses, of course) and sit up. The new chair will help his lungs inflate, his skin, back, and muscles. The chair has fancy straps to keep Ryan secure and safe while reigning in his new throne! :) God, we give all the glory to you, we will continue to praise you for our blessings.
