He said, "Thus says the LORD, 'Make this valley full of trenches.2" Kings 3:16
Ryan has had an extremely difficult week. He is regressing quickly. His speech, movement, and energy level have been very low. He mentions that he does not feel well. With TBI patients, a small cold can affect their much more severely than a healthy young person, meaning everything must be monitored and taken very seriously. With the thought of a possible mini-stroke, we took him to the ER on Sunday for testing per the orders of his neurosurgeon. After many hours, all of the results came back normal. His neurosurgeon decided he would like to evaluate him personally, so Ryan was taken to Houston on Wednesday. The doctor seemed concerned about his regression, noticed his white blood count is low-indicating a minor infection, and ordered an MRI with sedation. Ryan also is dealing with multiple small skin issues. He was taken to his general practitioner this week as well. The skin irritation is actually boils, and infection in the blood stream. Ryan is also having minor bleeding from his mouth that is seen in the morning dried up on his lips, as well as blood clots in his nose.
The fight for Ryan's complete restoration his not over. I know he will be up talking, making people laugh with his humor, and cry from his amazing testimony of God's work. Please do not lose hope and continue to pray for our buddy, Ryan. He loves visitors, feel free to come hangout with him. Please contact my mom before hand to ensure he is okay that day!
