OUR GOD IS ALIVE, HE IS ALIVE INDEED!!
His aggression has lessened even more with the capabilities of the communication board. He is able to tell us that he his hungry or even just communicate in a daily conversation. Praise the Lord for this new, miraculous step into Ryan's transformation! I am so happy that it brings me to tears! Yesterday I was talking to him about basketball and the playoff games. I asked him who he thought would when it all. He typed, "Who is in it" ... so I told him as many teams that I could think of that were in the playoffs. After about halfway through he typed, "OKC" ...I could not help but laugh! Of course he is still an OKC fan! I then asked him who his favorite basketball player was (to see if he remembers or said the same answer from before his accident) .. and he very quickly typed, "Kevin Durant" ...DUH!!! He is Ryan's all-time favorite! Later we were asking other questions to try to dig into his memory. He was asked what sport I (Lyndsi) was good at. I thought that there was no way he would get this because I have played sports since high school ...which was when Ryan was occurred when Ryan was born to about 10 years old. Without hesitation, Ryan began to type "softball" ... his consistent correct answers are absolutely incredible. God has given Ryan the capability of communication, this is not over! Ryan will be renewed to a perfect life!! OUR GOD IS ALIVE AND WORKING!! Our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever .. and for that our entire family is incredibly grateful.
Ryan had many visitors this weekend, and you could tell that he really enjoyed seeing his high school friends. We are so blessed to be able to have visitors again that Ryan's aggression is very minimal.
This morning Mom quickly went to get a cup of coffee (like she always does) and when she walked back in the room he had fallen out of his bed. He told her that he was trying to go find her. It scared him, but after a few minutes back into he bed he seemed to calm down. It hurts my heart to think of this because I am sure Ryan just thought he was getting out of bed like normal and could walk without any hindrances. My prayers are always pointed towards his understanding and knowledge of God's work through him and that other people's lives are continually to transform through the miracle that Ryan is undergoing. Ryan has a CT scan scheduled today to ensure that his fall did not cause any major problems.
